The January transfer window is typically a time of intense speculation and potential major transfers. Several notable stars are being connected to moves out of their current clubs. This article explores a selection of the top figures who could be changing clubs this month.

A. Semenyo

Despite Ghana's inability to reach the Africa Cup of Nations, this has kept the player available, reports suggest an important transfer is imminent. This English defender has continued to impress for Crystal Palace this season a summer move to Anfield falling through. As his contract due to expire in the close season, January is the club's last opportunity to obtain a transfer fee for their captain. A host of elite sides, including Manchester City and several European giants including Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich, reportedly be interested. Yet, a January exit remains unlikely, especially given the coach's dependence on the player.

Brennan Johnson

This Welsh winger has found starting opportunities hard to come by at Spurs this campaign. Although finishing as the club's leading goalscorer the previous campaign, he has started only a handful of league matches. It is understood the North London outfit would be willing to consider a transfer for the correct price, thought to be in the region of forty million pounds. The Cherries appear to be at the front of the queue, with Aston Villa, Brentford, and Crystal Palace also credited with an interest.

R. Neves

The Portuguese midfielder could be poised for a comeback to the Premier League after a period in Saudi Arabia. Now only 28, while his agreement expiring in the summer, he is a potential bargain. Clubs like Manchester United and Liverpool are linked with the former Wolves man. Additionally, there have been rumours from Spanish media that he would be willing to take a reduced salary for a move to the Spanish giants.

M. ter Stegen

This veteran Germany shot-stopper is now as the third option at Barça following the manager Hansi Flick. Having fallen out of favour and undergone surgery, a January exit looks increasingly probable. Villa were initially mentioned as a potential destination, but that move currently seems off. Instead, clubs from Turkey and Saudi Arabia are reportedly expressing interest in the keeper.

I. Toney

This prolific England centre-forward has kept finding the net frequently in Saudi Arabia. A return to the Premier League could enhance his fading chances of making the England squad.
