The Opening Game Pass Titles of 2026 Show Xbox Remains Committed.

Across the gaming landscape, enthusiasts continue to ring the knell for the Xbox brand. The platform was lately surpassed in sales by a relatively obscure console. Xbox fan sites have started writing regarding Sony's platform unprecedentedly. 2025 was complete chaos for the Xbox ecosystem. But if we're going solely off the titles headed to the service in 2026, it is apparent that Xbox remains determined to engage players with compelling titles on its key platform.

The Available Now Titles

The duo of games currently accessible at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, don't represent the biggest draws. Instead, the excitement lies in what's arriving to Game Pass soon that's truly noteworthy.

Upcoming Headline Games

On Jan. 13, the subscription service will add the often-overlooked Star Wars Outlaws, a vast exploration title that breaks up conventional open-world tropes with a space-faring criminal escapade. Another big get is Resident Evil Village with its iconic tall vampire, hailed in past assessments as "an ideal blend of terror and combat."

Intriguing Niche Additions

But even the smaller games coming to Game Pass soon deserve recognition. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, the criminally overlooked roguelike that's a blast to play, becomes available next week — and it merits a playthrough regardless of whether you played the first Lost in Random game.

The British post-apocalyptic game from last year could captivate you within just a quarter of an hour.

Atomfall, a game blending infiltration and resource management by the developers behind Sniper Elite, is another one to watch. Those with the top-tier subscription also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to look forward to.

A Robust Selection of Games

All in all, these aren't the most groundbreaking additions to Game Pass, nor are they massive exclusive blockbusters that validate the subscription by themselves. However, this batch of games are exceptionally strong. There's a good mixture of old games you might have missed and new-ish games that didn't get the attention they were due initially — transforming them into ideal prospects to get a second chance on Game Pass.

You might need to brace yourself to say goodbye to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, though.
